Understanding Your
Identity in Christ
Many of us define ourselves by our roles, achievements, struggles, failures, or the opinions of others. But what happens when life changes those things? What happens when rejection, disappointment, fear, or hardship tries to redefine who we are?
God offers a deeper answer.
"I have called you by your name; you are Mine."

"Your identity is not determined by circumstances. It is established by God."
Embrace the truth about yourself based on what your Creator has said.
- I am called by name.
- I am personally known by God.
- I belong to God.
- I do not walk alone — God is with me.
- I can live with peace, purpose, and confidence.
These are not motivational phrases. They are truths found in the Word of God, particularly in Isaiah 43:1–3. When these truths move from information to belief, everything begins to change.
- •You no longer live controlled by rejection or the fear of not belonging.
- •You stop depending on people's approval to feel valuable or secure.
- •You begin to see yourself through God's eyes instead of through painful experiences.
- •You no longer feel invisible, forgotten, or alone.
- •Fear and insecurity lose their power because you know God is with you.
Your identity is not determined by circumstances. It is established by God.
In this workshop, you will discover…
"I have called you by your name… You are Mine." — Isaiah 43:1
Built around the NAME Model — a simple but powerful framework for understanding identity in Christ: Noted · Accepted · Maintained · Established.
Noted — I am noted by God
You are fully seen, known, and remembered by God. Your identity is not hidden from Him. What is identity? How is it formed? What does it mean to be known by God? "I have called you by your name." Reflect on the early experiences of Joseph (Genesis 37) and how his identity remained intact despite rejection.
Walk away with clarity, courage, and conviction.
Through biblical insight, reflection, and discussion, you will leave encouraged and equipped to live with a deeper sense of identity, purpose, and faith.
- Understand what it means to embrace your identity from God's perspective
- Break free from labels shaped by rejection, failure, fear, or life experiences
- Strengthen your relationship with God and develop greater spiritual confidence
- Discover how God's presence sustains you during challenges and transitions
- Learn how identity influences resilience, purpose, leadership, and success
- Gain practical insight into how God can bless and establish the work of your hands — just as He did for Joseph

What they are saying
Excellent session. It caused me to do deep reflections of my own identity. It is helpful to anyone who wants to solidify their views on their identity in Christ.
"I have called you by your name, you are Mine."
ISAIAH 43:1 NKJV
Consider the bumblebee.
According to the laws of aerodynamics, the bumblebee should not be able to fly. Its body appears too large, its wings too small, and its proportions seem incompatible with flight.
Scientists have studied and analyzed it for years, and on paper, the numbers suggest that it should not be able to fly.
And yet — it flies.
Why? Because the bumblebee never read the research paper. It did not internalize the limitations that others stated. The bumblebee does not live according to the expectations and calculations of observers. It lives according to the design of its Creator.
And perhaps that is true for many of us. Too often, we live according to someone else's opinion — an opinion that leads us to live beneath our God-given potential because we have accepted and believed the limiting labels:
- You are not qualified.
- You are not good enough.
- You will never succeed.
- You don't have the right background.
- You are too young.
- You are too old.
- You do not have the support.
- You do not have the resources.
- You have been through too much.
On paper it does not make sense.
But when God calls you, He does not consult other people's opinions about you — neither does He consult your proportions, your past, or your mistakes. He simply speaks purpose. He speaks truth.
This workshop is an invitation to break free from limiting identities and discover who you are from God's perspective. Through the promises of Isaiah 43:1–3 and the journey of Joseph, you will learn what it means to be defined by God and not your circumstances.
